Potato Ragu

Slow cooker season has arrived! 
It's time to get reacquainted with your slow cooker and start the season with this warm and tasty meal. 


1 bag of McKenzie's soup mix
2 Onions
6 cloves garlic
2 tbsp oil
2 x 400g tins of tomatoes
3 tbsp tomato sauce
1 stock cube
500ml water
6 medium potatoes

Turn your slow cooker on high heat.
Peel and finely slice the onion, half the garlic and fry off in oil.
Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and crumbled stock cube.
Pour in the water and give it a stir
Cook on high heat for an hour
Add the potatoes
Reduce the heat to low and cook for six hours.
An hour before you finish cooking the sauce, add the McKenzie's soup mix and turn the heat to high.

Tip: add a pinch of dried herbs when you serve for some extra flavour.
