Every week there's a myriad of great markets across South Auckland, offering home-made goods, freshly grown produce, and stylee clothes that won't break the bank. Here's three to try this weekend.

Takanini farmers market

Every Saturday from 9am to 1.30pm at 163 Airfield Road, Takanini, find a melting pot of culturally inspired food and even hand-made dog biscuits at this neat little treat of a market. A fun morning out. For more info visit takaninifarmersmarket.co.nz

Otara Market

The largest Polynesian-style market in New Zealand, every Saturday from 6am to 12 noon the  islands take over a location of Newbury Street in Otara to offer fresh fruit and veg, ready to eat hangi, live music and custom-made Polynesian treasures such as kete, pounamu, lava lava and korowai. Manurewa market
